Not just a trade but a family passion

MJS (named from married business duo Mehrdad and Jessica) was born in early 2023. Mehrdad and Jessica were expecting their first son and Mehrdad had just finished his CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) course. The time was ‘now or never’. Mehrdad’s background is in all things building (carpentry (his trademark craft and what he personally enjoys most), painting and decorating, flooring work, renovations, even the small bit of electrical+plumbing work!) and Jessica’s contribution is in the ability to be client facing and sort all things admin/’off the field’. This combination made it possible to begin a small family business that has continued to flourish since it’s birth. Mehrdad was the nominee for Checkatrade’s ‘Rising Star’ award in 2025 and once again has been nominated for ‘Carpenter of the Year’ in 2026 (See Right for result!!!).

Mehrdad and Jessica do not attribute their success or skilled work to themselves but recognise their common Christian faith as the key- in fact their business tagline is ‘built on good faith and hard work’. God gets all of the glory.
